#Sachin Ramesh Tendulkar made a record of playing 200 Test matches with 15000+ runs in his test cricket career and 18000+ in one day cricket career,
#Mr. Arvind Kejriwal selected as the Honorable CM of Delhi, the Capital of World's Largest Democracy India in his First attempt and AAP (Aam Aadmi party) made it's Govt. in Delhi
#BJP made its Govt. in 3 major states (RJ, MP & Chhattisgarh)
#Nokia (a finland based hardware MNC) took over by Microsoft,

But the same year there were also some unfortunate changes and happenings like - natural calamity at KEDARNATH Ghati in UTTARAKHAND state, riots in Muzaffarnagar and death of legendary personalities like: Social Activist NELSON MANDELA, MIKHAIL KALASHNIKOV (inventor of AK-47), Actors: PAUL WALKER and PRAN KRISHAN SIKAND, MANNA DEY, FAROOQ SHEIKH,
